17 Jun How long should Linkedin messages be?
If your Linkedin message is too short it might not have enough information to prompt a reply – too long and no one will ever read it let along message you back. Where’s the sweet spot?
According to Linkedin keep it under 500 characters
Here’s a suggestion straight from the Linkedin Sales Navigator inbox:
Measure length after quality
I know it. You know it. I have to say it. There are a lot of subpar messages that happen on Linkedin. Automated sequences, bad grammar, sales pitches, and self promotion galore. If you keep that kind of message under 500 characters it won’t get you higher engagement rates. That’s a quality content issue. But, if you’ve aced quality make sure you keep it short, relational, and to the point.
